Job Requirements

  • Prior Subway experience preferred
  • Ability to work full-time or part-time schedules including rotating weekends
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic math skills for cash handling
  • Ability to stand for long periods and carry food items
  • Willingness to comply with food safety and sanitation requirements
  • Ability to handle customer complaints professionally

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience working in a Subway or similar fast-food environment preferred
  • Ability to handle cash register operations and sales transactions
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Willingness to work rotating weekends and variable hours

Job Duties

  • Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables
  • Weigh and measure designated ingredients
  • Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards
  • Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment
  • Store foods in designated areas following wrapping, dating, and food safety and rotation procedures
  • Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety requirements
  • Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
  • Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service
  • Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Relay relevant information to supervisor
  • Perform sales transactions
  • Enter sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded
  • Make change, accept declining balance cards and other acceptable forms of payment
  • Issue receipts to customers
  • Follow standard procedures for issuing cash refunds
  • Responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts ensuring cash drawer compliance with overage/shortage standards
  • Replenish condiments, beverages, and general supplies while maintaining service area cleanliness
  • Perform other duties as assigned
