Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior food service experience
- strong customer service skills
- ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to work effectively in a team environment
- good communication skills
Job Duties
- perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables
- weigh and measure designated ingredients
- carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator
- distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment
- store foods in designated areas following food safety and rotation procedures
- clean work areas, equipment and utensils
- ensure compliance with sanitation and safety requirements
- use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality and portion control
- serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner
- resolve customer complaints
- perform sales transactions including entering sales into cash register, making change, accepting payment forms, and issuing receipts
- replenish condiments, beverages, and supplies
- maintain service area cleanliness
- relay information to supervisors
- perform other duties as assigned
