Job Requirements

  • Prior food service experience
  • Ability to pass a food safety program
  • Available to work full time Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Basic ability to lift and carry food supplies and equipment

  • Basic math skills for cash handling
  • Ability to maintain sanitation and safety standards
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to follow prescribed food preparation and portion control guidelines

Job Duties

  • Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables
  • Weigh and measure designated ingredients
  • Carry pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards
  • Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment
  • Store foods in designated areas in accordance with wrapping, dating, and food safety and rotation procedures
  • Clean work areas, equipment and utensils
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety requirements
  • Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
  • Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service
  • Interact with customers and resolve customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Relay relevant information to supervisor
  • Perform sales transactions
  • Enter sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded
  • Make change, accept declining balance cards and other acceptable forms of payment
  • Issue receipts to customers
  • Follow standard procedures for issuing cash refunds
  • Responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts, ensuring that cash drawer is in compliance with overage/shortage standards
  • Replenish condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining service area cleanliness
  • Perform other duties as assigned
