This full-time Food Service Worker position at Aramark offers a Monday through Friday schedule with no weekend shifts, making it an ideal role for individuals seeking consistent work hours. The Food Service Worker plays an integral part in supporting kitchen operations by assisting managers with meal preparation, maintaining cash receipts, and keeping meal records accurate. The Food Service Worker is responsible for preparing a variety of food items and baked goods according to planned menus, ensuring each meal includes all necessary components while maintaining proper food storage protocols in both accuracy and sanitation. They also collaborate closely with kitchen managers to confirm daily menus and report on transactions. Additional duties include the use and care of kitchen equipment—especially knives—to prepare food safely and efficiently, garnishing meals for a visually appealing presentation, and adhering to food safety regulations regarding food handling and storage.
Maintaining cleanliness and organization in both work and storage areas is critical. Daily tasks include cleaning counters, steam tables, refrigerators, freezers, and all kitchen equipment, along with waste management to keep the kitchen sanitary and safe. The role may also involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking. Uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) use is expected to comply with Aramark's safety standards.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in food service or preparation preferred
- ability to follow food safety and sanitation standards
- capability to work full-time Monday to Friday
- physical ability to meet role demands such as lifting and standing
- willingness to wear uniforms and follow PPE guidelines
- good communication skills
- attention to detail and time management abilities
Job Qualifications
- Food Service Certificate as needed
- sufficient education or training to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
- be able to work quickly and concisely under pressure
Job Duties
- Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
- prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
- understand what is inclusive of a meal
- ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
- serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
- use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
- timely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages, and add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal
- coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment
- adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage
- adhere to the uniform policy
- connect with the Manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the day
- supervise the food temperature requirements
- maintain a clean and organized work and storage area
- scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment
- follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness, to ensure a balanced and safe environment
- maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion
- perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen
- comply with physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing
- use uniforms and/or personal protective equipment (PPE)
