Job Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred but not required
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Six months experience in food services preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of modified diets helpful

Job Duties

  • Serve patient meal trays including hot and cold entrees, salads, sandwiches, desserts, and supplements
  • Take and log hot and cold food temperatures on trayline, and monitor dish machine and refrigerator/freezer temperatures
  • Load patient trays into meal carts and deliver them to nursing stations
  • Perform cleaning tasks including detailed cleaning, washing dishes, pots, and pans
  • Stock and clean work areas to maintain hygiene and organization
  • Work on patient trayline for set-up, service, breakdown, and sanitation
  • Comply with HACCP food safety standards as well as food service protocols
