The PRN Food Service Worker role at Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health is vital to ensuring the seamless preparation and service of meals to patients, staff, and visitors. This position involves working in a dynamic healthcare environment where the ability to maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and customer service is essential. Food Service Workers are responsible for preparing and serving all campus meals and snacks, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas, and performing other related duties as assigned.

Candidates for this role should possess at least one year of experience working as a cook or in a similar position, with a strong understanding of kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, mixers, and dishwashers. Knowledge of essential hygiene principles and proper cleaning methods is critical to maintaining a safe food service operation. The ability to concentrate amid distractions, meet deadlines, and perform multiple tasks concurrently is necessary for success. The role requires flexibility in work hours to accommodate the operating needs of the organization and a strong sense of self-control during potentially challenging customer interactions.
