The hospital is currently seeking a part-time Food Service Worker Patient Care to join its food service team. This role is essential in maintaining the quality and efficiency of food service operations within various departments including the cafeteria, coffee shop, main kitchen, and dishroom. The Food Service Worker will perform a variety of duties aimed at sustaining excellent service to patients, visitors, and staff. Reporting to the Food Service Supervisor, the position requires the ability to follow written and oral directions meticulously to ensure compliance with food safety standards and hospital policies. This is a hands-on role involving food preparation, dishwashing, and stocking, contributing directly to the overall patient care experience. This position acknowledges the importance of teamwork, cleanliness, and attention to detail in a hospital food service environment. Candidates for this role should be prepared for physical demands such as prolonged standing, manual dexterity, lifting up to twenty-five pounds, and maintaining visual and auditory acuity. The hospital requires a Food Handling Certificate from the Cabell County Health Department as mandatory for this role.
