The Food Service Worker (Cafeteria Worker) role at ServiceSource offers an exciting opportunity to be part of an organization that not only values service excellence but also dedicates itself to social responsibility. As a Food Service Worker, you will be integral in preparing, presenting, and serving a variety of specialty foods including meats, delicacies, preserved items, cheeses, salads, breads, and sweets. This role involves assisting in plating, weighing, pricing, and wrapping foods, as well as creating attractive food displays that enhance the customer experience.
Beyond food preparation and service, this position includes customer-facing responsibilities such as greeting patrons, taking special orders, and providing information about specialty foods. The role requires maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across work areas, utensils, and equipment, ensuring a safe and pleasant dining environment. Key tasks also involve resetting self-serving lines, refilling food bars, and managing the cleanliness of dining rooms and service counters. Employees in this role are essential to the smooth operation of the cafeteria and must be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment while maintaining excellent customer service skills.

Job Qualifications
- No education or previous experience is required
- training is provided
- high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) preferred
- one (1) year food service experience preferred
- neat, well-groomed appearance is expected
- excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- good oral/verbal communication skills
Job Duties
- Set up food on self-serving lines and portion food for individual servings in accordance with instructions
- refill cold bars, salad bars, pastry cabinets, condiments, juice dispensers, and set up dining rooms
- replace glassware, dishes and silverware and refill condiment containers
- wipe and wash tables and countertops
- clean work area, utensils and equipment
- remove garbage
- mop floors, walls, windows and tables
- remove dirty dishes, glasses and silverware from serving counters
- mix washing solutions and operate electric dish washing machine and wash dishes, glassware, pots and pans and kitchen utensils by hand
- maintain in a sanitary condition equipment and work areas, utensils and tables
- perform ware-washing and keep pot and pan areas in order prior to, during and after meals
- follow correct techniques, cleaning schedules and tasks
- perform other responsibilities as assigned
- perform other job related duties as assigned
