Food storage must be managed meticulously to guarantee freshness and hygiene, and the use and upkeep of kitchen equipment, particularly knives, must follow safety procedures. The worker is expected to assist in major cleaning tasks involving refrigerators, freezers, cooking, and serving equipment, contributing to a safe and sanitary working environment.
The Food Service Worker must also be physically capable of handling the job’s demands, which may include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. Usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to uniform requirements are essential to maintain safety standards. By working closely with management daily, this role ensures that the menu preparation aligns with the planned schedule, maintaining food temperature standards and overall organization of the kitchen workspace.
