Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- associate's degree or higher in food service management or hospitality preferred
- specialized training in foodservice management and nutrition
- proof of or successful completion of CFP Food Protection Manager course within 14 days of employment
- participant or certification in Certified Dietary Manager course
- must obtain eLuminate FSM and LTC-FSM certifications within 60 days
- two years experience in quantity food production/service and personnel supervision preferred
- basic computer skills
- ability to complete approved sanitation and safety course if required
- compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as required
- ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds
- ability to stand, sit, bend, walk for extended periods
- ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks
- ability to work around food and cleaning products
- must reside in the service area
- reliable attendance and punctuality
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrate a positive attitude with the ability to follow oral and written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily
- utilize leadership skills to accomplish responsibilities without supervision
- associate's degree or higher in food service management or hospitality preferred
- specialized training in foodservice management and nutrition required
- proof of or successful completion of an approved Conference of Food Protection (CFP) Food Protection Manager (FPM) course within the first 14 days of employment
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) course participant or certification as required by State and County law
- must successfully achieve eLuminate Food Service Manager (FSM) and Long-Term Care Food Service (LTC-FSM) certifications within the first 60 days of employment
- two years of experience in quantity food production/service, dining/nutrition, and personnel supervision desired
- basic computer skills including web-based reporting
- may be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course
- compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies as required
Job Duties
- Manage the foodservice program in a single site
- provide leadership, support, and guidance to ensure food quality standards, inventory levels, food safety guidelines, and customer service expectations are met
- maintain records of income and expenditures, food, supplies, personnel, and equipment
- provide training, quality control, and in-servicing staff to meet HCSG standards
- tour kitchen several times per day to assess work quality using QCIs for documentation
- perform dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher duties as needed to support staff shortages
- communicate all directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to HCSG staff
- utilize protective gear and adhere to safety procedures for handling cleaning solutions
- ensure compliance with infection control and universal precautions policies
- maintain punctuality and consistent attendance
- positively represent HCSG by following instructions and cooperating with supervisor, coworkers, and client staff
- interact positively and tactfully with residents, staff, and facility guests
