Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Cooks and prepares food according to standardized recipes
  • mixes and bakes ingredients according to recipes to produce cakes, muffins, etc
  • slices meats and portions food items according to production sheets
  • sets up steam table
  • replenishes food items for tray lines as needed during tray production times
  • assists Chef in disassembling tray line and in determining products to be served
  • assists Chef in recording overs / unders accurately
  • cleans kitchen equipment, work areas, and supplies
  • explains simple work procedures, provides general work instruction, and assists other food service employees in solving routine work problems
  • makes and distributes special diet orders
  • acts as backup resource by performing Food Service Worker II duties including working in the cafeteria
