Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in food service or cafeteria work
  • Ability to perform physical tasks and operate kitchen equipment
  • Food Handler Certificate or Food Protection Manager Certificate within one year of hire
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation procedures
  • Availability to work flexible shifts including opening and closing duties

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in food service or cafeteria operations
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment requiring special skills and training
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Leadership ability and experience mentoring staff
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Food Handler Certificate or Food Protection Manager Certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Perform dish room, pots and pans cleaning, sanitation tasks
  • Prepare and serve a variety of food items to employees and guests
  • Cashiering and cooking made-to-order grill items
  • Assist manager in daily operations and training of Food Service Workers I and II
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to Food Service I staff
  • Ensure proper receiving of food and supplies, including documentation and temperature checks
  • Answer phones and respond to employee questions when supervisor is absent
  • Report and act upon unsafe practices, emergencies, or staff performance issues
  • Assist with opening and closing cafeteria procedures
  • Monitor and communicate food, equipment, supply needs, and maintenance problems
