Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent
Associates degree in Food Service Management for FSW II and III or equivalent relevant experience
Valid Municipality of Anchorage General Food Service Worker’s Card
ServSafe certification required for FSW III and to be obtained within one year for FSW II
Valid driver’s license for delivery positions
Two years of food service experience for FSW II
Four years of food service experience for FSW III
Ability to comply with local, state and federal health and safety regulations
Ability to work varying schedules including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays and extended hours
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent
Associates degree in Food Service Management for FSW II and III or equivalent relevant experience
Valid Municipality of Anchorage General Food Service Worker’s Card
ServSafe certification required for FSW III and to be obtained within one year for FSW II
Experience working independently and in a group setting
Skill in oral and written communication
Leadership skills and ability to supervise staff for FSW III
Ability to provide assistance to multiple areas of the department
Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation procedures

Job Duties

Assist with set up, serving and restocking of food from counters and steamtables
Stock items such as baked goods, snacks and beverages for sale
Interact with guests in serving, retail and dining areas in a positive and welcoming manner
Assist guests at the register by ringing up sales and following cash handling policies
Operate industrial dish washing machine and wash all wares
Wipe workstations, counters and tables, sweep and mop floors, perform janitorial duties
Report issues concerning food quality, safety hazards, guest concerns, and equipment to leadership
Answer patient calls and assist with meal prescriptions
Assemble patient trays
Deliver supplies or meals to patient floors or rooms
Maintain clean, neat, organized and sanitized workstations
Comply with all company safety and health regulations including HACCP policies
Attend training programs as assigned
Perform other duties as assigned
Provide assistance to other areas of the department as needed
Mentor and train less experienced Food Service Workers
Supervise staff and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
