Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education/experience
  • basic food production and food service knowledge
  • ability to use various food service supplies and equipment
  • knowledge of proper cleaning procedures and equipment usage
  • ability to read, write, and speak English
  • ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • mathematical ability for measurements and recipe adjustments
  • ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • strong customer service skills
  • commitment to maintaining patient PHI privacy
  • availability for limited term (26 weeks)

Job Qualifications

  • basic knowledge of food production and food service
  • ability to use food service supplies and equipment

Job Duties

  • Perform general kitchen duties including food preparation and storage
  • clean and store dishes, utensils, and pots
  • maintain general department sanitation
  • follow department policies and recipes to prepare and serve snacks and meals
  • assist multiple areas like tray line, cafeteria, dish room, host/hostess, or catering
  • adhere to local, state, and federal regulations on safety and patient privacy
  • communicate effectively with peers and supervisors
