Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or general education diploma (ged)
  • basic food production and food service knowledge
  • knowledge of safe food environment practices including proper cleaning procedures
  • ability to read, write and speak English
  • sufficient mathematical ability for basic measurement and portioning
  • ability to meet deadlines and multitask in a frequent interruption atmosphere
  • strong customer service skills
  • ensure privacy of patient health information

Job Qualifications

  • ability to use various food service supplies and equipment
  • knowledge of safe food environment practices and cleaning procedures

Job Duties

  • perform general kitchen duties including food preparation and storage
  • clean and store dishes, utensils, pots
  • perform general department sanitation
  • follow department policies and recipes to prepare and serve snacks and meals
  • assist in various areas including tray line, cafeteria, dish room, host/hostess, or catering
  • ensure privacy of patient health information
  • adhere to local, state, and federal food safety regulations
