Job Requirements
- high school diploma or general education diploma (ged)
- basic food production and food service knowledge
- ability to use various food service supplies and equipment
- knowledge of safe food environment maintenance including cleaning procedures
- proficiency in reading, writing and speaking english
- mathematical ability for measurement and recipe adjustments
- strong customer service skills
- ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines
- understanding of patient privacy requirements

Job Duties
- perform general kitchen duties including food preparation and storage
- clean and store dishes, utensils, and pots
- perform general department sanitation
- follow department policies and recipes to prepare and serve meals and snacks accurately
- assist in areas such as tray line, cafeteria, dish room, host/hostess or catering
- communicate effectively with peers and supervisors
- adhere to privacy and safety regulations protecting patient information
