Job Requirements

high school diploma or general education diploma (ged)
basic food production and food service knowledge
ability to use various food service supplies and equipment
knowledge of safe food environment maintenance including cleaning procedures
proficiency in reading, writing and speaking english
mathematical ability for measurement and recipe adjustments
strong customer service skills
ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines
understanding of patient privacy requirements

Job Duties

perform general kitchen duties including food preparation and storage
clean and store dishes, utensils, and pots
perform general department sanitation
follow department policies and recipes to prepare and serve meals and snacks accurately
assist in areas such as tray line, cafeteria, dish room, host/hostess or catering
communicate effectively with peers and supervisors
adhere to privacy and safety regulations protecting patient information
