The Food Service Worker position at Aspire Indiana Health is a full-time opportunity based at Progress House, one of Aspire's residential facilities. The role is integral to ensuring residents receive nutritious and appetizing meals that support their recovery and well-being. The Food Service Worker will be responsible for preparing a variety of meals including main courses, salads, and desserts, contributing directly to the quality of life for residents. Success in this role requires a blend of culinary skills, attention to detail, and a dedication to the supportive environment of Progress House, which operates with a recovery-focused approach often aligned with 12-step principles. The position demands someone with experience in food service, a strong work ethic, and the ability to follow recipes and food safety protocols independently. Knowledge of foodborne illnesses and superior cleanliness standards are essential to uphold the health standards expected at Aspire.
Aspire Indiana Health values its employees' health and safety, mandating drug screening, TB testing, and extensive background checks, including criminal history and professional references. Additionally, the organization encourages vaccination against COVID-19 and flu to protect both staff and those they serve, adhering to CDC protocols such as mask-wearing, social distancing, and thorough sanitizing practices.
