Job Requirements
- six months experience in a food service or retail operation
- ability to reside at Mountain Campus during operational season May-November
- availability to work a 40-hour week
- capability to attend off-season assignments at Fort Collins campus November-March
- willingness to obtain and maintain ServSafe certification
- capability to work in a fast-paced environment
- ability to follow food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to perform opening and closing procedures
- capacity to supervise temporary and student employees
- willingness to undergo pre-employment criminal background check
- ability to work shift and on-call status
Job Qualifications
- Six months experience in a food service or retail operation
- professional cooking experience preferred
- experience in fast-paced or high-volume food service settings preferred
- strong time management and task coordination skills
- effective interpersonal and communication skills
- commitment to high-quality customer service
- experience creating positive customer experiences
- knowledge of food safety standards and practices
- ServSafe food handler certification required or ability to obtain
Job Duties
- Serve food according to established standards and portions ensuring quality and appearance
- occasionally prepare food using baking roasting sautéing frying grilling broiling steaming chopping measuring and mixing techniques
- understand and safely use power-operated foodservice production and cleaning equipment
- meet defined food production standards guided by standardized recipes and menus
- provide input on food production volume and inventory levels to ensure service continuity
- record and verify food production and service temperatures to maintain food safety standards
- monitor and restock food and supplies to prevent service disruptions conduct inventory
- conduct opening and closing procedures in a defined work area
- indirectly supervise Temporary Hourly Employees and Student Employees to ensure food production quality and safety
- determine if areas meet cleanliness standards and perform scheduled cleaning
- develop cleaning lists for accountability
- check quality of work of employees
- report safety hazards when observed
- attend assigned and voluntary training sessions to improve knowledge and skills
- successfully obtain and maintain ServSafe food safety certification as a Food Service Worker
- complete other duties as assigned
