The patient food service role at Baptist Health is a vital position that contributes directly to the comfort, safety, and satisfaction of patients and guests. This role involves preparing, assembling, and delivering meals in accordance with strict quality, service, infection control, and food safety standards. The position also supports the replenishment of supplies on patient floors and is responsible for maintaining positive customer and guest relations. Additional duties include sanitation tasks, dish room responsibilities, handling guest tray payments, and serving meals across multiple dining venues such as corporate retail, catering, and doctor dining rooms. This multifaceted role demands flexibility, independence, and the ability to efficiently support food service operations and training of others where needed. The estimated pay range for this position is $16.00 to $19.49 per hour, depending on experience, providing competitive compensation in line with the valuable contribution made by food service team members at Baptist Health.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Food safety certification required within 90 days of job entry
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Minimum 2 years of food and nutrition experience highly preferred

Job Duties
- Prepare, assemble, and deliver patient meals in accordance with quality, service, infection control, and food safety standards
- Delivers stock supplies to the patient floor kitchens
- Serves guests, maintaining positive customer/guest relations
- Appropriately replenishes used foods and supplies
- Completes sanitation duties
- Perform dish room duties as assigned, daily
- Collects payments for guest trays
- Handles transactions for food sales in the cafeteria, as a cashier, in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Sets up and serves meals for corporate retail, catering, Doctors Dining Room, and other dining outlets
- Decorates buffet and reception tables as assigned
- Supports training of others in food service responsibilities
