The current opening at Amergis is for a School Cafeteria Food Service Worker position in the Encinitas School District. This role is contract-based, running through the end of the school year, with a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The pay rate is competitive at $21.00 per hour.

This Food Service Worker position is designed for individuals who thrive in fast-paced, large kitchen environments and enjoy contributing to a positive and efficient school cafeteria setting. The primary responsibilities involve dishwashing, maintaining cleanliness of kitchen equipment, general cleaning and sanitation of kitchen and cafeteria areas, food preparation and assembly, assisting with various large-scale kitchen duties, and adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation guidelines. This role is essential in ensuring that both students and staff have a hygienic and enjoyable dining experience.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or equivalent and hold a valid Food Handler's Certificate, which is a mandatory requirement for application consideration. While previous food service or cafeteria experience is preferred, it is not a strict prerequisite. The ability to work on one’s feet for extended periods, follow directions accurately, and maintain cleanliness standards are critical for success in this position.
