The Food Service Worker role at Aramark is essential in supporting the food service operations by assisting the manager with food and meal preparation, maintaining cash receipts and meal records, and ensuring compliance with high standards of quality, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices. This role requires individuals who can work efficiently under pressure, follow verbal and written instructions accurately, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. The position may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing. Additionally, Food Service Workers may need to wear uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as part of their daily responsibilities.
As a Food Service Worker, you will prepare quality food and baked goods following a planned menu, serve food according to departmental policies and meal schedules, and ensure proper storage and handling of all food items in compliance with food safety regulations. This role also involves assisting in the preparation of daily reports to verify transactions and coordinating with the manager to understand and execute the daily menu. Maintaining cleanliness of kitchen equipment, counters, refrigerators, steam tables, and storage areas is crucial to uphold the hygienic standards of the kitchen. You will also be tasked with supervising food temperature requirements, adding garnishments for aesthetic appeal, and performing general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing.

Job Duties
- Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
- Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
- Understand what is inclusive of a meal
- Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
- Serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
- Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
- Timely preparation of a variety of food items and beverages
- Add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal
- Coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment
- Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage
- Adhere to the uniform policy
- Connect with the manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the day
- Supervise the food temperature requirements
- Maintain a clean and organized work and storage area
- Scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment
- Follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness, to ensure a balanced and safe environment including sweeping, mopping, and ware washing
- Maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion
- Perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen
- Handle physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing
- Wear uniforms and/or use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
