The Food Service Worker role at Aramark is an hourly position offering a competitive wage of $24.55 per hour. This role is integral to maintaining high standards in food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety, ensuring customer satisfaction through quality meal preparation and service. As a Food Service Worker, you assist the manager with food and meal preparation, handle cash receipts, and keep detailed meal records. You will be responsible for executing daily operational reports and supporting kitchen staff in maintaining cleanliness and organizational standards. The position demands the ability to work efficiently under pressure, maintaining precision in food storage, preparation, and hygiene.
In this role, you will prepare quality food and baked goods in accordance with planned menus, ensuring each meal meets safety and quality standards. Your tasks include preparing daily transaction reports, understanding meal inclusions, and serving food according to predefined schedules and department policies. You will be responsible for operating kitchen equipment safely, including knives, and assisting in the thorough cleaning of refrigeration units, cooking, and serving equipment. Strict adherence to all food safety regulations, sanitization procedures, and the company’s uniform policy is mandatory.
Aramark values teamwork and communication; as such, you will coordinate closely with the manager to accurately prepare daily menus and monitor food temperature requirements. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, including storage and garbage collection areas, is part of your daily duties. This position also requires physical activities such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, prolonged walking, and standing. Usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and uniforms is required to ensure a safe and professional working environment.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in food service preferred
- ability to follow food safety standards and kitchen protocols
- physical capability to perform lifting and standing for extended periods
- ability to communicate effectively with team members
- must be willing to wear uniform and PPE as required
- availability to work flexible hours and shifts
- commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards
- attention to detail in food preparation and record keeping
Job Qualifications
- Food Service Certificate as needed
- sufficient education or training to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
- be able to work quickly and concisely under pressure
Job Duties
- Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
- prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
- understand what is inclusive of a meal
- ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
- serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
- use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
- timely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages, and add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal
- coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment
- adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage
- adhere to the uniform policy
- connect with the Manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the day
- supervise the food temperature requirements
- maintain a clean and organized work and storage area
- scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment
- follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness to ensure a balanced and safe environment including sweeping, moping, ware washing
- maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion
- perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen
- this role may have physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing
- this role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
