Aramark’s Food Service Worker role is a dynamic and vital position within its food services division. This role focuses on assisting management with food and meal preparation while maintaining financial responsibilities such as cash receipts and meal records. The Food Service Worker ensures that high standards of food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety are consistently met. The responsibilities of the Food Service Worker extend beyond basic meal preparation—this role involves creating visually appealing and delicious food items, verifying daily transaction reports, monitoring food storage practices, and adhering strictly to food safety regulations. The individual in this position must be capable of using and caring for kitchen equipment, particularly knives, and managing the cleanliness and organization of both work and storage areas within the kitchen. This extends to performing routine major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, cooking equipment, and serving areas.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in food service or kitchen environment preferred
- ability to follow health and safety guidelines
- physical capability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods
- willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment as required
- reliable attendance and punctuality
- strong communication skills
- ability to work as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- Food service certificate as needed
- sufficient education or training to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
- ability to work quickly and concisely under pressure
Job Duties
- Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
- prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
- understand what is inclusive of a meal
- ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
- serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
- use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
- timely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages, and add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal
- coordinate and assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment
- adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage
- adhere to the uniform policy
- connect with the manager daily to understand and accurately prepare menu for the day
- supervise the food temperature requirements
- maintain a clean and organized work and storage area
- scrub and polish counters, clean and sanitize steam tables, and other equipment
- follow established procedures and standards for cleanliness, to ensure a balanced and safe environment
- maintain garbage collection site and kitchen floor areas in a neat and sanitary fashion
- perform other duties as assigned including other areas in the kitchen
- perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing
- use uniforms and/or personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
