Job Duties
- Lead NA-2 food service workers in the accomplishment of work
- relay instructions from the supervisor
- get work started and set work pace
- demonstrate work methods and provide work-related guidance
- ensure worksite materials and tools are available
- report workplace injuries immediately
- check with supervisor on problems
- check on work and meet productivity goals
- ensure employees follow security, safety and housekeeping rules
- conduct on-the-job training and instructions
- perform supervisory duties in emergencies or short-term bases
- set up food service counters and side service stands
- assist customers in selection and purchase of specialty coffee beverages and whole bean sales
- provide quality beverages consistent with recipes and presentations
- use suggestive selling techniques
- serve food and beverages
- make coffee in large urns and manage timing
- properly clean dishwasher and appliances
- maintain customer service area and equipment
- perform preventative equipment maintenance
- follow store policies and operational flow
- follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating and storing products
- aid store manager in distributing barista plays and managing team breaks
- develop and ensure implementation of activity safety plan
- conduct safety meetings
- advise employees on safety regulations and equipment
- report workplace accidents
- provide safety training
- comply with OSHA standards
- ensure employees understand safety infractions
- ensure minimal loss of duty by complying with return to work initiatives
- operate cash register and manage own change fund
- complete prescribed training
