This Food Service Worker role at Aramark is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food service and hospitality. The position primarily focuses on assisting the manager with food and meal preparation, maintaining accurate cash receipts and meal records, and supporting the completion of daily operational reports. Candidates in this role are expected to uphold the highest standards of food quality, sanitation, and kitchen safety, ensuring a safe and pleasant dining experience for customers. This role is hourly paid, offered at a competitive rate between $17.00 and $19.00 per hour, and includes eligibility for comprehensive benefits.

Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service preferred
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • ability to lift, bend, push, and pull as required
  • willingness to wear uniforms and use personal protective equipment
  • strong attention to detail and adherence to food safety regulations
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to follow directions and work as part of a team

Job Qualifications

  • food service certificate as needed
  • sufficient education or training to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
  • be able to work quickly and concisely under pressure

Job Duties

  • prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
  • prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
  • understand what is inclusive of a meal
  • ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
  • serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
  • use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
  • timely preparation of a variety of food items, beverages, and add garnishments to ensure customer happiness and eye appeal
