The Food Service Worker position at Nixa School District, located at 301 South Main Street, Nixa, MO 65714, offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dedicated team focused on enhancing the student dining experience. The company is currently hiring for both full-time and part-time roles, with schedules varying to accommodate different availability. Part-time shifts typically run from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm, while full-time shifts may start as early as 6:00 am or 8:00 am till 2:00 pm, with final scheduling details discussed during the interview process. As a Food Service Worker, your primary responsibilities include preparing, presenting, and serving food in a school cafeteria environment. This position also involves physical duties like transporting pans, trays, and kettles in accordance with safety protocols, maintaining a clean and organized workspace by sanitizing cooking areas, equipment, and utensils, and distributing supplies and portable equipment efficiently. You will use approved recipes and production standards designed to ensure proper food quality, correct serving temperatures, and standard portion controls, all contributing to outstanding foodservice. Job Duties

  • utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
  • serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service
  • resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor
  • ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures
  • assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements
  • performs other duties as assigned
