The Delta Breeze Event Center, located on Travis Air Force Base in California, is a dynamic facility committed to providing outstanding event and food service experiences to military personnel, their families, and authorized guests. As part of the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) activities of the Air Force and Space Force, the center offers a variety of services designed to support community engagement and promote quality of life on base. This is a permanent, intermittent role with no guaranteed hours but the flexibility to work up to 40 hours per week, featuring a pay range of $20.19 to $21.26 per hour depending on pay setting policy. The position is categorized under the Food Service Working job series (7408), highlighting its primary focus on food preparation and service support within a government-operated facility.

The primary responsibilities of this position include setting up and removing table settings, handling and cleaning kitchen and food preparation equipment, operating dishwashers, sorting and preparing fresh produce, cleaning work areas including tables, floors, walls, and carpets, and ensuring all food service areas remain sanitary and well maintained. The role demands frequent lifting or moving of objects up to 20 pounds unassisted, and occasionally more with assistance. This ensures that candidates are physically capable of managing the typical workload associated with food service and event support in a military environment.

The role is open to all U.S. citizens, nationals, or individuals owing allegiance to the United States, with applications accepted from the public. Employment eligibility is contingent upon the successful completion of a background investigation and other federal requirements such as E-Verify, Selective Service registration for males born after December 31, 1959, and the ability to comply with non-appropriated fund regulations. While educational substitution is not permitted, previous relevant experience in food service or custodial roles is essential.
