The Food Service Worker role at Aramark is a vital position in the food service operations, primarily responsible for assisting the manager with meal preparation, maintaining cash receipts, and meal records, and supporting daily reporting. This role demands a commitment to high-quality food production standards, strict adherence to sanitation protocols, and kitchen safety practices to ensure the health and satisfaction of customers. The position offers a competitive wage ranging from $16.00 to $18.00 per hour, reflecting Aramark's commitment to fair compensation.
In this role, you will take on a variety of responsibilities from preparing quality food and baked goods according to planned menus to ensuring the proper storage and handling of food items in a sanitary manner. Attention to detail is essential, including adding garnishments that enhance the appearance and appeal of meals. Collaboration with the manager is critical to understand daily menus and supervise food temperature requirements.
Beyond food preparation, this role includes maintaining detailed records of transactions and assisting with verifying these through daily reporting. It also involves coordinating major cleanings of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking and serving equipment to uphold exceptional hygiene standards. The Food Service Worker must follow uniform policies and safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
This position may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing. Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing duties and work demands are key, as the job responsibilities may evolve without formal notice.
Aramark offers a comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees, including medical, dental, vision, and work/life resources. Additional benefits may include retirement savings plans like 401(k), paid days off such as parental leave and disability coverage.
