The Food Service Supervisor position at Trinity Services Group offers a full-time opportunity with a wage rate of $20.00 per hour, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package. In this supervisory role, the Food Service Supervisor manages food preparation and service operations within a correctional facility kitchen. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license is required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Dependability and flexibility in scheduling
- Willingness to follow all safety and housekeeping regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior institutional food service or restaurant, cafeteria experience is a plus but not necessary
- ServSafe Food Handler certification is preferred
- Ability to supervise and instruct others in food preparation
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Job Duties
- Supervise inmate labor and or team members in the kitchen during food prep and food service shifts in the kitchen
- Prepare, assist or instruct inmate labor and or team members in the preparation of a variety of food items in accordance with departmental work production standards, standardized recipes, and work instructions
- Follow assigned facility housekeeping and safety practices in all preparation, oversight, and serving of correctional facility meals
- Use various food preparation utensils and machines safely and efficiently
- Maintain adherence to food handling and safety regulations
- Complete assigned tasks and other duties as determined by the needs of the business
- Ensure quality control of food served during shifts
