Doctors Hospital of Laredo is a well-established 183-bed acute care facility located in Laredo, TX. This opportunity is for a full-time position in the hospital's food service department. The role involves responsibilities related to warewashing and sanitation within the kitchen facility under the guidance of the Assistant Director, Chef, and Supervisor. The position requires operating the dishwashing machine, ensuring the cleanliness of work areas and equipment, and efficiently managing meal cart distribution and tray handling. Additionally, the role involves cleaning and breaking down catering meals, maintaining sanitation standards by sweeping and mopping, and disposing of trash properly. The employee will also be responsible for closing and securing the kitchen area after shifts. Working in this position means contributing directly to the smooth operation of food services in a busy hospital environment, helping ensure that patients and staff receive hygienic and timely meal service.

Job Duties
- Washes, rinses and sanitizes pots and pans, utensils using the 3-compartment method
- Maintains sanitation of facility
- sweeps and mops, washes and deodorizes all trash cans, floor mats
- Delivers and returns food transport carts to each nursing unit
- Checks late tray cart and returns all trays
- Stocks dishware, utensils, special function equipment, food and supplies in their appropriate areas
- Uses dish machine to clean patient service ware and trays, cleans and sanitizes carts after each meal period
- Breaks down evening catering meals and cleans meeting room
- Sweeps, mops, and takes out mats for cleaning
- Removes all trash
- Closes kitchen and secures doors after leaving department
