The Food Service Supervisor is tasked with managing the preparation and serving of a variety of food items according to planned menus and work instructions. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to work early morning and afternoon shifts
- Ability to work in a correctional facility environment and interact with inmates
- Physical ability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking and standing for extended periods
- Must follow facility uniform policy
- Dependability and flexibility in scheduling
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Supervise inmate labor and team members during food prep and food service shifts
- Prepare and assist in the preparation of quality foods according to menu and instructions
- Ensure proper and sanitary food storage
- Serve food according to planned meal schedules and policy
- Utilize kitchen utensils and equipment to cook, prepare and serve food
- Follow all food safety regulations related to sanitation, food handling and storage
- Train other food service workers
- Maintain clean work environment including refrigerators, cooking and serving equipment
- Enforce facility uniform policy
- Manage garbage collection and kitchen cleanliness
- Promote a healthy and safe work environment
- Perform physical duties including lifting, bending, pushing, kneeling, walking and standing for extended periods
- Perform other related duties as assigned
