The BridgeWay is currently seeking a Food Service Worker to join its team. This role is integral to maintaining the day-to-day operations of the food service department by preparing and serving meals to patients, staff, and visitors, while upholding strict sanitation standards. The Food Service Worker will be expected to not only perform routine food preparation and serving duties but also uphold the professional image of the facility through friendly, respectful, and supportive interactions with patients, families, healthcare professionals, and other hospital staff. The position demands adaptability, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and often dynamic healthcare environment. Job Requirements
- CPR and Handle with Care certifications to be obtained within two weeks of hire
- high school diploma or equivalent
- minimum one year experience in food service
- ability to perform repetitive tasks and adapt to various duties
- ability to communicate well with patients, families, and staff
- emotional stability to handle frequent interruptions
