The Food Service Worker role at the Lincoln Regional Center is a vital position within the food service department. This position entails preparing and serving nutritious meals, adhering to special dietary requirements, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas. The Food Service Worker supports the health and well-being of patients by ensuring food safety, sanitation, and quality service in a fast-paced, team-oriented atmosphere. The role requires collaboration with supervisors and other staff to efficiently handle kitchen operations, operate and clean kitchen equipment, and uphold facility security and emergency protocols. This position offers a wage of $18.071 per hour plus a $3 per hour facility differential, along with shift differentials for second-shift and weekend hours. The work schedule is from Friday to Tuesday, 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with Wednesdays and Thursdays off.

Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Must be able to stand on feet for 4 hours
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Coursework training or experience in food preparation baking and kitchen operations in the food service industry or related field
- One year of coursework or training in food preparation preferred
- Cooking and baking experience in a large-scale food service operation preferred
- Knowledge of kitchen and dining room safety practices
- Knowledge of food sanitation procedures
- Knowledge of special diets and food preparation schedules
- Knowledge of cooking techniques for meats vegetables soups salads and baked goods
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment utensils and cleaning procedures
- Knowledge of facility security and emergency procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and co-workers
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain records
- Ability to safely operate sharp hot or heavy kitchen equipment
- Ability to bend stoop lift and carry food items and supplies
- Ability to work in high temperatures and humid environments
- Ability to train or assist lower-level food service staff as needed
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve meals to patients including special diet requirements
