- selective service registration for males born after 12/31/1959

- willingness to serve a 1-year probationary period
- clear and detailed resume meeting qualifications
- ability to work varied hours including weekends and holidays
- compliant with influenza vaccination or exemption policies
- ability to lift and move items as required in food service duties

Job Duties
- Sets up assigned station with the correct supplies and food items
- serves food cafeteria style by placing uniform portions of food on customers' plates
- breaks down and cleans the station when assigned
- sets up dining room tables for service, place food and beverages on tables, and replenish items as necessary
- delivers meal trays to patients' bedsides and reports comments or complaints
- prepares beverages according to the number of servings required
- prepares fresh fruit, cold salads, dressings, sandwich fillings, cold sandwiches, and simple cold desserts
- sorts, washes, peels, and cuts cold foods
- assists cooks in food preparation by weighing, measuring, and assembling ingredients
- prepares uncooked food items such as sandwich spreads and salad dressings
- prepares boxed/to-go meals
- identifies discrepancies between prescribed diets and menu items
- decides what food items to serve for the most common diets
- performs heavy-duty cleaning tasks in food service areas
- separates food waste and recyclables from dishes, glasses, and silverware
- unloads food/tray delivery carts
- stores sanitized dishes, glasses, and silverware
- scrapes, soaks, scours, and scrubs cookware and utensils
- moves garbage cans during trash collection and disposal
- performs other duties as assigned to meet medical center needs
