Currently, Morrison Living is hiring Food Service Workers for immediate openings at the Good Samaritan Society - Luther Manor located at 3901 South Marion Road, Sioux Falls, SD 57106. These positions are available for both full-time and part-time schedules, with flexibility in hours and days subject to interview discussion. The pay range for these roles is $16.00 to $18.00 per hour, reflecting the company’s dedication to offering competitive wages. Job Requirements

  • One year of prior senior living experience preferred
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and carrying heavy items
  • Availability for varied shifts including full-time and part-time schedules
  • Willingness to comply with Morrison Living’s drug-free workplace policy
  • Capable of performing essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must be able to maintain sanitation and safety standards
  • Eligible to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in senior living food service preferred
  • Ability to follow food safety guidelines and health regulations
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn and undergo training
  • Reliable and punctual with a good work ethic

Job Duties

  • Prepares, presents and serves food as needed
  • Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables
  • Weighs and measures designated ingredients
  • Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards
  • Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures
  • Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils
  • Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment
  • Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
  • Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service
  • Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor
  • Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures
  • Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements
  • Performs other duties as assigned
