As a Food Service Worker at CAPSLO, you will become an integral part of a dedicated team working to ensure that nutritious meals are prepared, delivered, and served efficiently to individuals and families in need. The ideal candidate is someone with experience in commercial or institutional food service who is committed to community service and has a valid California Driver's License and an acceptable driving record. You will be expected to utilize CAPSLO vehicles to deliver meals, maintain cleanliness and sanitation in accordance with health codes, and assist with the preparation of food. Attention to safety, both personal and for others, is essential. Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- has experience working in commercial or institutional food service
- has a valid California driver's license
- possesses current auto insurance
- maintains an acceptable driving record
- ability to adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines
- capable of performing physical tasks related to food preparation and service
Job Qualifications
- has experience working in commercial or institutional food service (preferred)
- has a valid California driver's license, auto insurance, and acceptable driving record
Job Duties
- clean during production and following meal service, i.e, keep equipment, appliances, work surfaces and area clean and sanitized, wash dishes, pots and pans, sweep and mop, load and unload dishwasher
- set up meal service for classes
- load food transport containers into delivery vehicle, unloads empty containers
- deliver meals from a central kitchen using a CAPSLO vehicle
- assist with pre-preparation of food requiring washing, peeling and cutting of fruits and vegetables, mix and stir prepared foods
- be dedicated to the goals and objectives of CAPSLO
- use reasonable precautions in the performance of one's duties and adhere to all applicable safety rules and practices, and act in such a manner as to assure at all times, maximum safety to one's self, fellow employees, clients and children
- perform other duties as assigned
