We are currently hiring for a full-time Food Service Worker position at the CHS Alliance location in Durant, Oklahoma. This role is crucial in preparing, presenting, and serving food that meets both nutritional and safety standards in a healthcare setting. The Food Service Worker will be responsible for various food preparation tasks such as washing and cutting fruits and vegetables, measuring ingredients, transporting food items safely, and ensuring proper storage practices. The position requires maintenance of cleanliness in work areas, utensils, and equipment, as well as the distribution of supplies necessary for daily operations. Additionally, this role involves serving customers in an efficient and friendly manner while adhering to established service protocols.

This position offers a stable full-time schedule that includes Monday through Friday shifts with variable hours, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends. The hourly pay rate is set at $15.00, reflecting the company’s commitment to fair compensation. Employees will receive training, three free uniform shirts, a meal plan, and accrued paid time off as part of the benefits package. Job Requirements

  • Ability to perform assigned duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Previous food service experience preferred
  • Must be able to follow instructions and maintain a positive attitude
  • Ability to stand for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in food service preferred but not required
  • Ability to follow food safety and sanitation standards
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • Capable of performing physical tasks required for food preparation and service
  • Willingness to learn and participate in training provided

Job Duties

  • Prepares fruits and vegetables by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding
  • Weighs and measures designated ingredients
  • Carries pans, kettles, and trays to and from work stations according to safety standards
  • Stores food following wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures
  • Cleans work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • Distributes supplies, utensils, and portable equipment
  • Serves customers in a friendly and efficient manner following outlined steps of service
  • Resolves customer concerns and communicates with supervisors
  • Ensures compliance with company service standards, inventory, and cash control procedures
  • Assures sanitation and safety requirements are met
  • Performs other duties as assigned
