Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- some college experience helpful
- ServSafe certification is required must obtain within 60 days of hire
- experience in an academic institution preferred
- experience working with adolescents preferred
- knowledge of food presentation and equipment use preferred
- ability to discuss food ingredients including allergens
- respect for diversity, equity, and inclusion
- ability to perform basic math
- ability to identify food products
- knowledge of health and safety procedures
- excellent personal hygiene and uniform adherence

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- coordinate food and supplies for meal services
- operate and maintain dining area furnishings and equipment
- ensure high level of customer service in dining halls
- monitor quality and quantity of all food served
- set up, maintain, and break down serving lines and dining areas
- ensure food service complies with HACCP standards
- handle cash transactions and complete guest slips
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas
- practice and enforce safety and emergency procedures
- engage positively with students, employees, and guests
