The Food Service Worker is responsible for preparing both hot and cold foods, operating grills, portioning meals, managing cash transactions, and maintaining cleanliness in the food service area. The role requires a minimum of one year of food service experience, though two or more years are preferred. Educational requirements include a high school diploma or GED, with an associate degree being a plus. No formal training is mandated; however, proficiency in reading, writing, and English communication is essential. The position demands awareness of food safety, sanitation, and production standards. Candidates with computer and web-based program skills, along with food safety certifications such as Serv-Safe or Food Handlers Card, are preferred. Physically, the role involves medium to high energy exertion, including lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing or pulling weights as high as 200 pounds, various physical activities like bending, climbing, reaching, and maintaining positional tolerance for standing, sitting, or kneeling. Sensory abilities such as color discrimination, depth perception, vision, and hearing are necessary. The working environment may present challenges like exposure to airborne diseases, bloodborne pathogens, chemicals, noise, temperature extremes, radiation, and uneven surfaces.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- Minimum one year of general food service experience
- Ability to fluently read, write and communicate in English
- General knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and production
- Ability to lift and carry 40-50 pounds
- Ability to push or pull up to 150-200 pounds
- Ability to stand, bend, squat, kneel, and perform repetitive motions
- No required licensure
- Desired Serv-Safe certification or Food Handlers Card
- Ability to work a day shift
- Willingness to work in a healthcare environment
- Ability to adhere to safety protocols
