Job Duties

  • perform routine food service tasks in kitchen cafeteria and dish room
  • assist the shift supervisor in ensuring all sanitation tasks are completed daily
  • set up and break down patient tray line for each meal
  • stock and dismantle condiment and cereal area replenish paper and china
  • work in dish room stripping and scrapping
  • take temperature of dish machine during all meals
  • check silverware for cleanliness sort after dishwasher run and rerun
  • clean and sanitize carts and store for lunch and dinner
  • carry out trash and mop floor
  • clean dish machine and polish daily
  • wash pots and pans changing water often
  • follow department safety and sanitation procedures
  • log dish machine temperature at each meal
  • assist delivering late trays as needed
  • comply with all rules in employee handbook
  • perform any task asked by supervisor
