As a subsidiary of Elior North America, Summit focuses on ensuring that every meal served is not only well-prepared but also supports the welfare and dignity of the residents within correctional facilities. Elior North America is a prominent company committed to diversity, inclusion, and career development, offering equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or veteran status. The organization fosters an environment where employees can grow their skills and advance their careers in a supportive setting. Summit’s mission involves more than just food preparation — it is about providing vital social interaction for inmates at mealtimes and supporting their overall wellbeing through high-quality food service.

We are currently seeking a motivated Food Service Worker to join our team at our correctional facility in Fargo, North Dakota. This is a part-time, onsite position that offers a competitive wage of $19.00 per hour. The Food Service Worker will be an essential part of the operations team, playing a key role in preparing, serving, and distributing meals in a fast-paced environment. Working for Summit means working within a structured but dynamic environment that values attention to detail, communication, and service excellence. This opportunity allows for growth and the acquisition of diverse skills within various areas of the food service department, including the tray line, dish room, cafeteria, and storeroom.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve preparing and serving meals, maintaining cleanliness and organization in your workspace, coordinating with team members to ensure smooth food distribution, and upholding the highest standards of hygiene and safety. The role requires strong interpersonal skills to interact with both colleagues and the clientele respectfully and effectively. Candidates who thrive in environments that require precision, multitasking, and excellent organizational skills will find this position rewarding. Summit values employees who demonstrate a commitment to quality service and who are eager to contribute positively to the facility’s atmosphere.

Working with Summit also offers numerous benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance options for full-time employees, voluntary accident and critical illness coverage, an employee discount program, commuter benefits, an employee assistance program, a 401(k) retirement plan, sick time, paid holidays, tuition reimbursement for full-time staff, and paid time off. At Elior North America, employee development is a priority, and they offer ongoing support and training to enhance your career prospects within their brand segments and corporate offices.
