Morrison Living is currently seeking dedicated Food Service Workers for immediate hire at the Cedarbrook location in Allentown, PA. These positions are available on both a full-time and part-time basis, providing flexibility and great opportunities for those passionate about food service and hospitality. Employees will work Monday through Friday with rotating weekends and holidays, which allows for a balanced work-life schedule. The hourly pay rate for this role ranges from $15.00 to $16.00, depending on experience and schedule. This role offers a dynamic and rewarding work environment where team members play an integral part in delivering memorable dining experiences.

The Food Service Worker role is essential to the smooth operation of our culinary services. Responsibilities include preparing, presenting, and serving food while adhering to strict safety and sanitation standards. The team members will engage in food prep activities such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables, weighing and measuring ingredients, and handling food storage and rotation according to company guidelines. The position requires careful attention to detail to ensure quality control, proper portioning, and temperature maintenance of all dishes served. Food Service Workers also interact directly with customers, providing friendly and efficient service that meets Morrison Living's high standards. Staff are expected to handle customer inquiries or concerns professionally and communicate effectively with supervisors. This role requires members to follow established procedures for inventory management and cash control and to maintain a clean and organized workspace throughout their shifts. Beyond standard duties, Food Service Workers may be asked to perform additional tasks to support team success and customer satisfaction.

Job Duties

  • Prepares prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables
  • Weighs and measures designated ingredients
  • Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards
  • Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures
  • Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils
  • Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment
  • Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control
  • Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service
  • Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor
  • Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures
  • Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements
  • Performs other duties as assigned
