Job Requirements

  • Must pass pre-employment background check
  • must have a Real ID to get on Joint Base Langley-Eustis
  • ability to work 3rd shift hours from 10:30 pm to 6:30 am
  • physical ability to lift, bend, stoop, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
  • basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • availability to perform tasks involving manual labor

Job Qualifications

  • One year work experience in food service or related field desirable
  • knowledge of basic cleaning procedures and sanitation
  • ability to operate standard kitchen equipment
  • ability to follow instructions and work well with others
  • physical ability to lift, bend, stoop, push, and pull up to 50 lbs

Job Duties

  • Set up cafeteria lines, steam-tables, dining room tables, and side service stands with hot and cold food items including meats, vegetables, salads, desserts, bread, butter, and beverages
  • unload and store food from delivery trucks
  • assist cooks in preparation and perform duties as server when necessary to support customers
  • maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas
  • follow established safety and hygiene protocols
  • assist in inventory management and report supply needs
  • operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
