Job Requirements

  • Food service experience or equivalent education in restaurant, catering or retail operation
  • ability to provide courteous and tactful customer service
  • ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • physical ability to bend, squat, stand and walk for extended periods
  • flexible working hours and locations
  • current food handler's certificate or card

Job Qualifications

  • Food service experience in a food or hospitality operation or institutional food service
  • equivalent education or experience in restaurant, catering, retail operation, sanitation, or dishwashing
  • customer service experience
  • ability to relate to others with courtesy and tact under normal and stressful conditions
  • basic computer familiarity preferred
  • tray-line or room service experience is a plus
  • current food handler's certificate or card for applicable county or state

Job Duties

  • Prepare and assemble patient food trays and carts according to department standards
  • perform routine cleaning and stocking of pantries and kitchen areas
  • follow established recipes and safety protocols including labeling and dating food items
  • provide excellent customer service in cafeteria and special events with friendly, professional interaction
  • prepare grilled foods and serve meals according to order specifications
  • collaborate effectively with team members to deliver quality meal service on time
  • handle multiple tasks in fast-paced environments while maintaining composure
  • perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting, standing, and walking for extended periods
  • flexible with working hours and locations based on business needs
