- high school diploma or GED certificate preferred
- six months food service experience preferred

Job Duties
- prepare simple foods according to standardized menus, recipes, or supervisor instructions
- make salads, dressings, gelatin, toast, or sandwiches
- grill sandwiches, pancakes, eggs, French toast, and hash browns and toast
- prepare simple desserts such as pudding, cobbler, and loaf cakes
- slice and wrap bread and other baked items
- clean, cut, and chop vegetables and fruits
- slice meats, cheeses, and breads
- cut desserts
- adjust recipe quantities to eliminate excessive waste of food products
- fill drink machines, mix beverages, make coffee, and prepare sack lunches or snacks
- use various types of commercial kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, and choppers
- check for proper temperature of prepared foods with thermometer
- observe food to be sure it is visually appealing and of high quality
- transport food between kitchen and cafes
- clean tables, mop floors, stock utensils, cups and beverages
- serve food from steam tables
- fill 5-gallon buckets of ice for soda machines
- lift 30-50 lb. boxes of soda syrup and clean equipment
- perform some cashiering duties for less than part of scheduled shift
- provide great customer service
- perform additional duties assigned by manager or supervisor
