Job Requirements
- US citizen or lawful permanent resident residing in the US for the last five years
- possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- pass criminal background and consumer credit check with no criminal record
- obtain and maintain DHS/ICE government clearance
- pass all pre-employment and random drug tests
- pass a medical examination and meet health requirements
- be at least 21 years old
- demonstrate ability to work with a diverse population
- ability to greet and deal tactfully with the public
- capability of following and understanding written and verbal instructions
- must not have been terminated for cause from previous employment
- proven ability to exercise good judgment, courage, alertness, and maintain an even temperament

Job Duties
- Sets up food service areas, kitchen, or salad area facilities and equipment as needed
- checks food temperatures and prepares areas for daily operations
- operates cooking or bakery equipment as assigned
- conveys food cart to detention areas and returns cart to kitchen
- follows procedures to set up hot and cold food and maintains appropriate temperatures
- prepares or assists in preparation of hot and cold dishes, beverages, salads, sandwiches, bakery items, and dressings
- serves food items according to specific instructions ensuring correct portions
- replenishes foods, silverware, glassware, dishes, trays, and condiments at serving stations
- cleans and maintains work areas, including floors, facilities, and equipment
- collects and disposes of garbage
- prioritizes work based on supervision or facility needs
- maintains professionalism and quality in all tasks
- uses downtime to maintain cleanliness and update clerical tasks
- follows departmental safety standards and policies
- performs other duties as assigned
