Job Requirements

  • Complete a background investigation with favorable results
  • Obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handler's training
  • Be a U.S. Citizen, National or owe allegiance to the U.S.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service
  • Meet qualification, eligibility, and background requirements
  • Must be able to lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds frequently and over 20 pounds occasionally with assistance
  • Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, reach, push and bend for long periods
  • Direct deposit is required
  • Satisfactorily complete employment verification (E-Verify)

  • Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate or complete food handler training
  • Successful completion of a background investigation
  • Ability to follow simple oral instructions
  • Knowledge of simple food handling techniques to meet health and safety standards
  • Ability to work independently under supervision

Job Duties

  • Sets up glasses, silverware, dishes, trays, napkins, condiments and cold menu items on a serving line
  • Removes dishes and trays from tables
  • Prepares food and assists snack bar personnel during high business periods
  • Operates, breaks down and cleans electrical equipment for food preparation
  • Cleans kitchen equipment including worktables, sinks and refrigerators
  • Separates food waste and trash from dishes, glass and silverware in dishwashing area
  • Loads and operates dishwashers and stores clean dishes, glasses and silverware
  • Washes tables and counters, vacuums and shampoos carpets
  • Sweeps and mops kitchen floors, cleans windows, washes walls and sanitizes trash cans
  • Sorts, washes, peels and cuts fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Assists the customer service desk within the Bowling Center, assigns lanes, operates control console and rents shoes
  • Opens and closes the facility
  • Assists with daily deposits and prepares accounting documents as directed by Activity Director
  • Performs other assigned duties
