The current role being offered is for a Food Service Worker within Baptist Health. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality meals to patients in accordance with strict quality, service, infection control, and food safety standards. The Food Service Worker is responsible for preparing, assembling, and delivering patient meals, while also maintaining supplies and cleanliness in the patient floor kitchens. This role extends to serving guests with positive customer interactions, handling transactions in the cafeteria, and supporting various dining venues including corporate retail and catering events. The position demands versatility in duties, as it involves sanitation, cash handling, and meal presentation tasks. Employees in this role are expected to be independently skilled in food service tasks while also supporting the training of others. The estimated pay range for this hourly position is between $16.00 and $19.49, depending on experience. Job Requirements
- minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- food safety certification required within 90 days of job entry
- excellent customer service skills
- proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to perform duties independently and support training of others

Job Duties
- prepare, assemble, and deliver patient meals in accordance with quality, service, infection control, and food safety standards
- deliver stock supplies to patient floor kitchens
- serve guests, maintaining positive customer/guest relations
- appropriately replenish used foods and supplies
- complete sanitation duties
- perform dish room duties as assigned daily
- collect payments for guest trays and handle transactions for food sales in the cafeteria
- set up and serve meals for corporate retail, catering, Doctors Dining Room, and other dining outlets
- decorate buffet and reception tables as assigned
- support the training of other food service workers
- follow all aspects of high-quality food preparation and service
- maintain safety, comfort, and overall satisfaction of customers
