Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior food service experience preferred
  • must complete sanitation course before or during first year
  • ability to read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • basic arithmetic skills
  • ability to maintain emotional control under stress
  • excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • availability to work nights and weekends as needed

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets (production sheets and recipes)
  • direct daily activities
  • maintain food production ensuring safety and quality according to policies, procedures, and department requirements
  • ensure food items are stored safely, organized, and hazard-free
  • maintain all serving schedules ensuring food items are served per menu specifications following Aramark policies and procedures
  • maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes and regulations
  • maintain accurate inventory on a weekly basis
  • prepare orders as needed to ensure accurate production for location
  • supervise and evaluate employees, counsel, promote employee growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork
  • maintain a safe and hazard-free working environment
  • train and mentor other food service workers
  • maintain logs on all maintenance required on equipment within the department
  • ensure all food safety and temperature logs are completed with appropriate corrective action
  • perform preventative maintenance checklist
  • recommend replacement of existing equipment to meet needs of facility
  • perform other duties requested by the Food Service Director or Manager
  • fill in for absent employees as necessary
  • maintain knowledge of daily catering events ensuring they are prepared and delivered on time
  • work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • attend food service meetings with staff
  • maintain communication with staff via office staff, email, phone calls, and inter-office mail
  • perform cashier duties as needed
  • promote good public relations
