Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service preferred
  • Ability to supervise and lead a team
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work occasional nights and weekends
  • Physical ability to perform job duties
  • Commitment to food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Must read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • Must complete sanitation course before or during first year
  • Knowledge of cost-effective program operation

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production packets
  • Direct daily activities
  • Maintain food production ensuring safety and quality
  • Ensure proper storage of food items
  • Maintain serving schedules and ensure food service follows menu specifications
  • Maintain sanitary conditions adhering to health and safety codes
  • Maintain accurate weekly inventory
  • Prepare orders to ensure accurate production
  • Supervise and evaluate employees and promote teamwork and morale
  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • Train and mentor food service workers
  • Maintain equipment maintenance logs
  • Complete food safety and temperature logs with corrective actions
  • Perform preventative maintenance
  • Recommend equipment replacements
  • Multi-task efficiently
  • Perform duties assigned by Food Service Director or Manager
  • Fill in for absent employees
  • Coordinate catering events to ensure timely preparation and delivery
  • Work occasional nights and weekends for catered events
  • Attend food service meetings
  • Maintain staff communication
  • Perform cashier duties when necessary
  • Promote good public relations
